JGM has, for over 100 years, provided high quality building services solutions to clients throughout Scotland. As part of our commitment to continuously improve on of our exceptionally high standards, we are pleased to announce the recruitment of Andy McKnight as our new Estimating Manager.
With over 15 year’s experience within the mechanical and electrical building services industry, Andy’s comprehensive experience in client management means that our estimating team will be confidently led to secure new tendering opportunities, whilst also maintaining a strong relationship with our existing customers. Andy excels not only at understanding the current needs of our clients, but also at predicting future needs so that we can be well placed to meet them when the time comes.
As JGM continues to exceed the high standards expected from us, Andy will be well placed to deliver high quality pre-construction support so we can continue to deliver a robust and trusted service.

Andy will be responsible for ensuring that we deliver an excellent level of customer service to our clients, predominately through the pre-construction phase of the project lifecycle. Understanding and development of customer needs, cost planning, tender negotiations and value engineering will also form part of Andy’s role. With his engineering background, he will also be able to provide support to our team of estimators on tenders including technical and commercial queries, and write/review technical queries to be issued to the design team.
Upon his appointment to the role, Andy said:
